This is a couple of years old, but until the reader known as “OliFant” sent it to us this morning, I’d never heard it before.
Someone took Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” and digitally reworked it so that now it’s in a major scale. Which, needless to say, completely changes the vibe of the whole song. It’s totally bizarre. It’s still melancholy, but it’s also oddly triumphant now… I never really took away a sense of hope from the original “Nothing Else Matters,” but this makes me feel kinda like, I dunno, Paxil-y or whatever.
I actually kind of like it.
