Watch the Official Music Video for Sevendust’s “Decay” and Stream Their Entire New Album

It continues to amuse me how stangry MetalSucks commenters get whenever we post about Sevendust. LOL! Deal with it.

So, “Decay,” the first song that Sevendust released from their new album Black Out the Sun (back in January), is solid as fuqq. Unfortunately it’s one of only a small handful of tracks from the album that are memorable, disappointing news to Clint Lowery Fanclub members Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg, both of whom absolutely loved 2010’s return-to-form Cold Day Memory. More on that in a few days when we publish our official album review.

In any case, it’s a good thing that Sevendust are pushing “Decay” as the album’s lead single, because it certainly is a great track that serves as a fine addition to a back catalogue full of them. Here’s the official music video, in which Morgan Rose is the kingpin set on torturing Lowery, John Connelly and Vince Hornsby as Lajon Witherspoon looks on. Creepy! Who knew Witherspoon was a voyeur fetishist?

Grammy.com is streaming a new track called “Till Death.” It’s unquestionably some of the heaviest music the band has ever released, and it’s another album highlight, although I still think “Decay” is a better song. Or, shit, just stream the entire album right hereBlack Out the Sun comes out today.
