Shining - One One One

The fourth and final new Shining song to be released this week, “Off the Hook,” is now streaming at p3.no. The album comes out tomorrow! Which I hope means we’ll get a full album stream somewhere or other. If you haven’t been following Shining Week, get caught up with all the new songs below:

Here’s Shining saxophone-wielder Jørgen Munkeby on “Off the Hook:”

“Off The Hook” might be the most pop-inspired song on the album, and that gives it a bit of character. The lyrics are about how there always seems to pop up new problems when you thought you’ve been through the worst of it. It really is meant as a positive message. Do not let challenges surprise you. The bass line on the chorus is inspired by the song “March Of The Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails.
