Death to All 2013

The 2013 edition of the Death to All Tour began this past Saturday evening in Hollywood, and this YouTube user has uploaded footage of pretty much the entire concert. You can watch it below. I watched about two-and-a-half minutes of the beginning just to make sure that all was well (Band sounds good — CHECK! Crowd going fucknuts — CHECK!) and then turned it off, just because it violates my golden “Do Not Listen to a Band You’re Going to See Live for At Least One Month in Advance of Said Show” rule (the delayed gratification and the fact that you’re not currently sick of any of the material makes the concert itself that much more awesome). You, of course, are free to watch as much as you like.

This year’s version of the tour features the surviving members of Death’s Human-era line-up — guitarist Paul Masvidal, bassist Steve DiGiorgio, and drummer Sean Reinert — teaming up with Exist guitarist/vocalist Max Phelps, who is also Masvidal and Reinert’s bandmate in the most recent line-up of Cynic. A portion of the proceeds will once again benefit the Sweet Relief charity, a non-profit devoted to helping musicians without insurance who are facing serious illness. Remaining dates are at the bottom of this post.
