Avenged Sevenfold TV and Radio

Hoo-ray!

Avenged Sevenfold have released both a small clip of a new song and some video footage of themselves in the studio working on the follow-up to 2010’s Nightmare. But they’re being a little sneaky about it — to hear the clip and watch the footage, you need to go to their website, where you’ll find an old television/radio (pictured above). To listen to the song clip, click center left button and tune the left dial to “13” (as in, “2013”); to watch the video, click the center right button and tune the right dial to “00” (as in… uh… well, I dunno why it’s “00”).

Granted, there’s not THAT much great info in these little snippets, but it’s exciting to know that we’re now close enough to a new A7X release for the band to start promoting it. Especially since this will be the band’s first release with absolutely zero involvement from The Rev, who passed away before Nightmare‘s completion, but still helped write that album and appears on some songs (his vocals dominate the haunting “Fiction,” for example). The Rev was always a big, big part of this band’s identity, so it will be interesting to see what they can or cannot do without him.

Go here to get in on the action.

Thanks: Carlos
