Anselmo Unleashes “Usurper’s Bastard Rant”

Phil Anselmo has unveiled our first taste of his new solo album, Walk Through Exits Only, and it. Is. CRAZY. In terms of Anselmo’s previous work, the spastic, heavy as fuck “Usurper’s Bastard Rant” most closely recalls Superjoint Ritual, or maybe Great Southern Trendkill-era Pantera tracks like “Sandblasted Skin.” It’s got that kind of schizophrenic-just-went-off-his-meds quality about it.

I really, really dig it.
