Saturday Song to Get Stoned To

Saturday To Get Randomly Intronautical To

Obviously we love Los Angeles mega-prog metal neo-masters Intronaut.  And clearly we are uber-pumped to see them live (again) TONIGHT when we proudly present their Brooklyn tour stop with Scale the Summit and Mouth of the Architect at Saint Vitus Bar as our official showcase for the Northside Festival.

But have you heard the band’s lesser-known gems?

I have loved this tune since the day the band’s The Challenger EP came out back in 2007.  It is heavy as poop, and still gets me going every time I hear it:

How about this jam?  It’s a cover of the song “Arnold Layne”, from a Syd Barrett tribute album:

And of course Intronizzle’s cover of Eyehategod’s “Dixie Whiskey”.  This one originally appeared on Century Media’s 20th anniversary covers album:

If you haven’t heard Intronaut’s newest album, Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words with Tones), well that’s just plain wrong.

And while we’re checking out some random shiz from bands we love, who has heard these Baroness songs from their split with Unpersons?
