Help Fund Subterrestrial Black Metal, Keleigh Black’s Photographic Journey Into the Underground World of Norwegian Black Metal
Here’s the latest project seeking crowdfunding that I think is totally worth a few of your hard-earned dollars: Subterrestrial Black Metal — A Journey Into Darkness, a new book by acclaimed photographer Keleigh Black (her endorsers include Morbid Angel’s David Vincent, Skeletonwitch’s Dusty Boltjes, and revered tattoo artist Paul Booth, amongst others). Ms. Black had a significantly greater-than-average amount of access to various legends of Norwegian black metal, and captured those legends at their most human (I’m not even kidding when I say that my favorite part of this whole thing is her claim to have a photo of one infamous musician changing a diaper). She’s now looking to collect those pictures into one unique package, and is doing it in true DIY style, but raising the money herself.
Below, watch a video explaining more about the project. You can go here to donate/make a purchase. Black is looking for a total of $4,000, of which she has already raised $1,500. The campaign ends July 7 — two-and-a-half weeks from now — so you shouldn’t wait too long to get involved!
