Exclusive Video Debut: White Widows Pact’s “El Marrano”
Not since Mike Tyson have any Brooklynites ripped as many ears as White Widows Pact. The quintet has been curb-stomping motherfuckers all year with their discordant, depraved live shows and jugular-tearing self-titled debut, which landed on MS co-editor-in-chief Axl Rosenberg’s Best of 2013 So Far list last week (stream and download the EP here). So, needless to say, we here at MetalSucks jumped at the chance to debut the band’s first-ever official music video, “El Marrano.”
Filmed by director Frank Huang and videographers Yessica Curiel Montoya and Chris Montgomery during a performance at St. Vitus in Brooklyn, and featuring a guest appearance by Incendiary vocalist Brendan Garrone, “El Marrano” captures the insanity that is a White Widows Pact live show in stark, startling black and white. Your reaction to the clip will almost certainly be “When I can go see these dudes live?” Well, hey-o!, we happen to know the answer: the band will kick off a ten date tour later this month, in addition to appearing at the inaugural Housecore Horror Film & Music Festival in Austin, TX this October.
