Hey, Prog Dorks: Check Out The Aristocrats (Feat. Guthrie Govan, Bryan Beller and Marco Minnemann)

These cats should need no introduction, but just in case: Guthrie Govan (Steven Wilson, Asia/GPS, himself), Bryan Beller (Dethklok, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani) and Marco Minnemann (Necrophagist, Kreator, Adrian Belew, UKZ, Steven Wilson) will be releasing their second full-length album as The Aristocrats this coming Tuesday, entitled Culture Clash.

As you’d expect from this cast of characters, the resulting jamfuckery of music is equal parts fusion, funk, jazz, prog rock and metal, and all parts awesome. These musicians are all in the upper echelon of their craft — albeit from different backgrounds — and it’s pretty neat to hear what they come up with together.
