Not much new blood on the chart this week, but a lot of movement via big debuts from Norma Jean, Revocation and Exhumed. More numbers at Metal Insider this week and every week!

1. ↑ Norma Jean / Peak: 1 / Last Week: 3 / Weeks On: 3

Albums sold last week: 8,350 (Wrongdoers, debut)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 3.5% (201,333 likes · 7,190 talking about this)
YouTube: 58,000 (“If You Got it At Five, You Got it At Firty” official video)

Everyone I talk to that went to Summer Slaughter comes back raving about Norma Jean’s frenetic live performance before mentioning any other band. They’ve been like that all these years, we all just collectively forgot how hard they rip! Stream Wrongdoers in full right here.

2. ↑ Revocation / Peak: 2 / Last Week: 7 / Weeks On: 4

Albums sold last week: 2,500 (Revocation, August 6)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 13.2% (61,274 likes · 8,091 talking about this)
YouTube: 53,000 (“The Hive” official stream)

Ridic fan engagement percentage! Sold first week number. The years of hard work and constant touring are finally paying off. Stream the new album here.

3. ↓ Black Sabbath / Peak: 2 / Last Week: 2 / Weeks On: 6

Albums sold last week: 6,550 (13, week nine)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.9% (8,289,023 likes · 160,402 talking about this)
YouTube: 3.6 million (“God is Dead?” official stream)

Album sales are still very strong. But: this.

4. ↓ Amon Amarth / Peak: 1 / Last Week: 3 / Weeks On: 8

Albums sold last week: 1,725 (Deceiver of the Gods, week seven)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.4% (547,921 likes · 8,018 talking about this)
YouTube: 833,000 (“Deceiver of the Gods” official premiere)

Their FB Fan Engagement percentage is way down, but album sales are still strong and holy shit that YouTube number.

5. ↓ Chimaira / Peak: 4 / Last Week: 4 / Weeks On: 2

Albums sold last week: 1,800 (Crown of Phantoms, week two)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.9% (277,829 likes · 5,265 talking about this)
YouTube: 103,000 (“No Mercy” official video)

A 76% drop in week two is pretty hefty. Their current tour should help keep their profile high, though.

6. ↑ Exhumed / Peak: 6 / Last Week: 10 / Weeks On: 2

Albums sold last week: 1,300 (Necrocracy, debut)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 5.7% (95,599 likes · 5,415 talking about this)
YouTube: 28,500 (“Coins Upon the Eyes” official video)

Great Facebook percentage. Solid sales for a band this extreme.

7. ↑ Avenged Sevenfold / Peak: 7 / Last Week: 8 / Weeks On: 4

Albums sold last week: 0 (Hail to the King, August 27)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.4% Fan Activity (14,356,009 likes · 202,002 talking about this)
YouTube: 3.51 million (“Hail to the King” official premiere)

Can’t see this not taking the #1 spot when the album comes out. And they’ve got a video game and animated series going with it, too? Sheeeeeeeit.

8. ↓ Battlecross / Peak: 3 / Last Week: 5 / Weeks On: 4

Albums sold last week: 520 (War of Will, week five)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 11.2% (42,775 likes · 4,807 talking about this)
YouTube: 77,600 (“Never Coming Back” official video)

Now that Mayhem is coming to a close their strong momentum is slipping a bit, but their upcoming tour with Death Angel, Revocation and 3 Inches of Blood should fix that right up.

9. ↓ Philip H. Anselmo and the Illegals / Peak: 5 / Last Week: 5 / Weeks On: 3

Albums sold: [no data] (Walk Through Exits Only, week four)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.9% (639,304 likes · 12,349 talking about this)
YouTube: 143,000 (“Bedridden” official video)

The tour is crushing.

10. Iwrestledabearonce / Peak: 10 / Last Week: n/a / Weeks On: 1

Albums sold last week: 3,900 (Late for Nothing, debut)
Facebook Fan Engagement: 1.2% (444,203 likes · 5,696 talking about this)
YouTube: 105,000 (“Boat Paddle” official video)

Not bad numbers at all (save the low FB percentage) but I kinda feel like this band’s time has passed?
