My internet has been down all weekend, but now that it’s running again (hope I’m not jinxing myself here) I felt compelled to drop this post to gleefully exclaim that the almighty super-sweet psych-prog face-melting jammy stoner band Earthless is BACK, baby!!!!! This powerful trio blew my mind aplenty back in the late aughts with Rhythms From A Cosmic Sky, and new album From The Ages (out on Tee Pee Records on Rocktober 15th promises to be no joke either.
We thankfully have the opportunity to sample two heady tracks RIGHT MOFO’N NOW: “Violence of the Red Sea” is currently streaming on Stereogum and “Uluru Rock” (my fave of the two) is currently streaming on Pitchfork

Guitarist Isaiah Washington proves to us once again that his nimble, tasty, intergalactic shredding hasn’t faltered in the band’s hiatus, and rock-solid rhythm section of drummer Mario Rubalcala (OFF!, Hot Snakes, Rocket From the Crypt) and bassist Mike Eginton keep up with flying colors and then some.

In honor of this amazing band’s triumphant return to the fold, here is a rip-roaring gem from Rhythms From a Cosmic Sky and a handful of other “earthy” tunes…
