Pearl Jam Covered Van Halen

Pearl Jam covered Van Halen’s “Eruption” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” in Hartford, CT this past Friday night; apparently it’s the second time they’ve played the latter song, but it still strikes me as odd. ‘Cause Pearl Jam were like the poster boys for the “We’re not rockstars and we hate fun and we hate being famous!” movement of the early 90s, and Van Halen were like the poster boys for the “We’re rockstars and we love fun and we love being famous!” movement of the early 80s.

I guess what I’m saying is, it’s great to see that Eddie Vedder has something resembling a soul.
