A Perfect Circle - Stone and Echo

Seeing as though the one new song on A Perfect Circle’s recent greatest hits collection was pretty meh, I didn’t have high hopes for the live album the band is releasing next week. But then I started listening to the stream of said live album over at Consequence of Sound and I got chills when that descending guitar line in the chorus of “Hollow” came in. “Right… that’s why we love this band so much!” We’re coming up on the ten year anniversary of the release of their last album, and while this new live set — Stone And Echo — won’t scratch that particular itch, at least it’s something.

Stone and Echo features 20 audio tracks and a live DVD of A Perfect Circle’s performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on August 11th, 2011. It comes as part of a box set that also includes A Perfect Circle’s three albums. While the 2,500 copies of the box set that were initially pressed sold out immediately, if you didn’t get one you can still pre-order just the live portion via iTunes. It comes out on November 26th.
