New BLS GuitaristGuitarist Dario Lorina has left Lizzy Borden to join Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, Classic Rock reports. He’ll replace Nick Catanese, who split with BLS last month.

Lorina is the twelfth guitarist to play with Borden since 1983; his predecessor, Ira Black, was fired in 2008 after Lizzy realized that there has never ever been a cool person named “Ira.”

Lorina, a graduate of Milford Academy, has never written nor recorded with Lizzy Borden. Speaking to MetalSucks on the condition of anonymity, a source close to the band says that it was Lorina’s ability to maintain near-invisibility at all times that landed him the gig in BLS: “You can always tell a Milford man.”

Wylde has released the following statement with regards to Lorina’s addition to BLS:

“Who?”

Lorina is expected to neither write nor record for Black Label Society’s new album, which should be out for six-to-eight weeks before someone remembers to tell him.
