Cynic Drummer Sean Reinert to Join Eyal Levi in Advanced Drum Production Online Course

This past fall Audiohammer Studios recording guru / Daath guitarist / MetalSucks columnist Eyal Levi taught two courses about drum production at creativeLIVE — a platform for online video seminars in the creative fields — both of which focused on Toontrack’s popular entry-level drum programming software EZdrummer. Now he’s upping the ante: from January 16th through 18th Eyal will be teaching an Advanced Drum Production course on creativeLIVE in which he’ll demonstrate the real-world production techniques he uses every day at Audiohammer Studios on albums for bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, Battlecross and Whitechapel. The event will cover everything: mic selection, mic placement, drum tuning, Toontrack Superior Drummer, editing and mixing.

As of that weren’t enough, Eyal will be joined by legendary drummer Sean Reinert of Cynic and Death! Reinert will share his secrets for choosing the right drums, setting up and tuning them and how to get the best tones. Levi and Reinert will answer questions from viewers live, on-air in real-time.
