Arse-Ripping New Soreption Track Features The Black Dahlia Murder’s Trevor Strnad

Soreption - Engineering the Void

The Black Dahlia Murder’s Trevor Strnad is extremely knowledgable and very picky about the death metal he likes, as we learned when we interviewed him and he curated a death metal playlist for us last March. That Strnad deems Soreption worthy of a guest vocal appearance on their new album Engineering The Void speaks volumes about what he thinks of the band.

Also: that Revolver and Decibel Magazines — often at polar opposites of the metal spectrum — both agreed Soreption were worthy of a track premiere on their websites is also pretty darned significant. We’ll call up our buddies at the Elias Sports Bureau to ask when the last time that happened was.

Of course it shouldn’t surprise you that everyone loves Soreption since we’ve been trying to tell you how awesome they are for months already!

Here’s the title track from Engineering The Void, which Decibel premiered yesterday, featuring Strnad. Those riffs!!! That solo!! The elephants marching stomp at the end!! Sofa king good.

Stream “Engineering The Void” below. Also check out prior track “Breaking the Great Narcissist” if you missed it. Engineering The Void will be unleashed on February 18 via Unique Leader. Preorder it here.
