Devil You Know to Make Live Debut Under Moniker You Do Not

It’s fairly rare that a band’s live debut is a big deal in advance of its actual occurrence — but such is the case with supergroups! Supergroups like Devil You Know, the new project we’ve covered a sufficient amount of times that we shouldn’t have to tell you who’s in the band anymore.

The band has announced that they’ll perform live for the first time ever on Saturday, February 15 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. And even though they’re making this info public almost two weeks beforehand, they’re doing that thing famous bands sometimes do for surprise shows where they play under a name that basically tells you who they are without telling you who they are (previous examples include Metallica performing as Dehaan, Anthrax performing as Satan’s Lounge Act, and Axl Rose performing as Guns N’ Roses). Specifically, they’re playing under the name All Devolved Shall Engage. In case you’re stupid, that’s an amalgamation of the other bands for which these dudes are famous. Look, they even made a horrible Photoshop of the three logos, saving me the trouble of doing so myself!

All Devolved Shall Engage

Makes me a little sad that they didn’t work Blood Has Been Shed into there, too. They could have called it Devolved Blood Shall Engage! Maybe they felt like if they included BHBS, they’d also have to include Hiss of Atrocities? Whatever, at least they didn’t include Bleeding Through.

ANYWAY, all my snark aside, this show IS a big deal, and I’m more than a little curious to hear how it goes. You can get more details on the show here.
