Stan Lee

You nerds all know who Stan Lee is, right? Old Jewish guy? Created like half of all famous superheroes ever? Gets a sort-of funny cameo in every Marvel flick as a result? Talks to Jason Lee about whether or not The Thing from Fantastic Four has a stone cock or not in the movie Mallrats? Y’know… Stan Lee!

Well, Ottawa’s Killitorous, which features current and former members of Vital Remains, Blind Witness, Immersed, The Kindred and, uh, Blessed by a Broken Heart (hey, no band is perfect), have now written an awesome death metal song about Stan the Man. It’s entitled “It’s Not Stanley, It’s Stan Lee.” As you can imagine based on the title, the accompanying video is pretty silly. But not bad silly! And the song certainly rips, which is the most important thing, natch. I wonder if Stan Lee would approve?

“It’s Not Stanley, It’s Stan Lee,” will appear on Killitorous’ Party, Grind, which is tentatively scheduled for a May release. It will feature guest appearances from members of Unhuman, Archspire, Cryptopsy, Obey the Brave, Hideous Divinity, Skynet, Infant Annihilator, and, of course, Blessed by a Broken Heart.
