Doin’ Math with Devil You Know’s “Seven Years Alone” Video

What is the actual topic of discussion in Devil You Know’s “Seven Years Alone”? During the chorus, Howard Jones sings, “Seven years alone, eighteen more to go” — a total of twenty-five. But Jones himself is forty-three (holy shit, that dude is aging well). Interestingly enough, 43 – 25 = 18.

So what does any of this actually mean? I have no idea. But the song is really catchy, isn’t it?

Devil You Know’s The Beauty of Destruction comes out April 25 on Nuclear Blast.

P.S. Dear Hollywood please remake The Untouchables with Howard Jones playing Al Capone. Thank you.

Howard Jones Al Capone
