Good news / bad news for Candiria fans.

First the good: the band has posted for streaming the B-side from their new Invaders 7″. The track isn’t by Candiria proper, but Bilingual Gladiators Of Democracy, a side-project featuring drummer Ken Schalk and guitarist John Lamacchia… but it’s no less awesome, and groovy, and swingin’, and all the things you want from Candiria, minus distorted guitars. Check out it below, and check out A-side “Invaders” — a super-heavy, super-jazzy cover of the Iron Maiden classic — right here.

The bad news is that the release of that 7″ has been delayed by a week or two due to an issue at the vinyl pressing plant. D’oh! If you were one of the lucky 500 to order one you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer (they were supposed to arrive this week).

Elsewhere in saxophone-related psuedo-metal, Trioscapes — featuring BTBAM bassist Dan Briggs — have posted a one-minute preview of new music. Their sophomore album Digital Dream Sequence is reportedly all done and pending release later this year via Metal Blade. Huzzah! They’ve got some upcoming tour dates too, posted below the jam clip.
