Devin Townsend: Z2 Tracklist Revealed! Recording Has Begun!

All aboard The Devy Express! Still no word on a release date for Casualties of Cool, but Devy has made good on his promise to use the proceeds from its highly successful crowd-funding campaign (currently at nearly 500% of its goal!) to record Z2, the long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s fan-favorite Ziltoid the Omniscient.

As previously reported the album will be a double-disc affair — one Ziltoid, one Devin Townsend Project, with the theme “Ziltoid Against the World” — and, according to longtime DTP drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen (via Facebook), drum tracking has been completed:

It’s a wrap….. Both albums are done. I’m beyond exhausted but very happy that drum tracks are complete for both albums. What a past two days it’s been. Now time for a vacation  Dev’s turn for tracking now! Goodnight!

As a bonus we also get to see a hand-written track-list. Since all the names were crossed out after completion they’re a bit tough to make out, but here’s what I can gather:

It’s worth noting that these could just be working titles, not the official track names, but, given past evidence of Devy working titles such as “Poopy McPoop-Pants” and the general Ziltoid-y theme throughout, they seem pretty official-looking to us.
