Billboard.com regularly posts “Boxscore Report” features that tally the live show grosses of some of the industry’s biggest acts. We haven’t bothered to re-post them because I didn’t know whether people cared or not… until we posted how much it’d cost to book Queens of the Stone Age, Avenged Sevenfold, Clutch and more, and that post went viral. In hindsight, duh, of course people care about this shit! ‘Murica! Money!

So, here are some figures from this week’s Boxscore Report revealing the total show grosses for a number of metal acts. Some things to keep in mind:

• The show gross is not the number the band ends up walking away with; the venue and/or promoter will typically take a cut for themselves.
• The headlining act will also have to pay all of the opening acts on the tour out of their take.
• The dollar figures shown are from ticket sales only and do not include merch.
