Watch: Mastodon Make Once More ‘Round the Sun

Revolver has debuted the first out of I-don’t-know-how-many episodes about the making of Mastodon’s new album, Once More ‘Round My Bum. It’s incredibly short because who has an attention span these days?, but there is some good stuff in here, mostly related to the always-entertaining Mr. Brent Hinds. There’s even a small section where he’s being kinda serious, talking about “having the album in his subconscious,” but it doesn’t come off as being pretentious or anything — I’m sure all of us creative types have had moments where it suddenly dawns on you, for no apparent reason, how to fix something or make something about the work better… it’s because the project was rattling around in your subconscious. You’re working on it whether your realize you’re doing so or not.
