“Hater”: You Won’t Ever Bring Korn Down, But You May Inspire Them to Write a Horrible Song

You Will Not Ever Bring Korn DownDismissing detractors as “haters” is a sure sign of intellectual infirmity; it’s utilized by children who can’t thank of any actual intelligent defense, so they just dismiss their antagonist with this vague, nebulous term that implies jealousy on the part of their opponent. It’s roughly the equivalent of believing that everyone is mean to you because you’re so handsome, like your mommy said.

So, of course, Korn have used it as the kornerstone for their new single.

You’d think at this point the band would have the wherewithal to pay a five-year-old to write some actually clever lyrics that respond to their critics. Maybe they’re under the impression that the computers which make all their music sound semi-professional also changes Jonathan Davis’ words?

“Hater” will appear on the upcoming super duper deluxe edition of their most recent album, The Paradigm Shit, alongside two other previously unreleased songs, “I’m Rubber and You’re Glue” and “I Know You Are But What Am I?”. It comes out July 15.
