Periphery “Escape from the Studio” for New Tour

Periphery are taking a page from the Metallica playbook (sort of) and celebrating the completion of the recording process of their new album, Juggernaut, for the “Escape from the Studio” tour — the final trek in support of 2012’s Periphery II. Support will come from The Contortionist, Intervals, and Toothgrinder, which means that these shows are gonna be very well-attended.

But wait! There’s more! According to the press release announcing the tour…

“Through the support of D’Addario and Bandhappy, PERIPHERY will be offering Juggernaut Workshops, an exclusive invitation for fans to learn about the making of the album, experience a walkthrough of the band’s live rig, hear tour stories during a meet & greet photo session, jump the line and for true fanatics, even view the show from the side of the stage. Tickets to the workshop will be available Friday July 18th, via the Bandhappy website.”

You could watch Periphery from the side of the stage! YOU COULD WATCH PERIPHERY FROM THE PERIPHERY!!! Awesome! I wonder if this will begin a trend? “Watch Slipknot whilst hanging from a slip knot!” “Watch Anthrax from an infectious diseases ward at the hospital!” “Watch Black Sabbath from a shabbat dinner prepared and attended exclusively by Ethiopian Jews!” The possibilities are endless, really.
