Stream Beyond Creation’s Ripping New Tech-Death Jam Right Now!

Québécois prog metal monsters Beyond Creation’s sophomore album has been a long time coming. The band’s 2011 album The Aura landed them a spot in our Unsigned and Unholy series, and eventually attracted the attention of Season of Mist, who promptly swooped the band up and re-released The Aura last year. If not for that little turn of events I’m sure we’d have new Beyond Creation music already, but I think we can all agree it was for the best! And, based on their new music, it was worth the wait.

So: Zero Tolerance has the stream of a brand new Beyond Creation song called “Elusive Reverence,” which you can check out below. The song is fantastic; it’s got a Gorodian sense of melody, and it doesn’t get too caught up in playing-for-the-sake-of-playing, a pitfall to which so many tech-death bands fall victim. The mixing and mastering a bit too brickwalled for my tastes — everything is LOUD and compressed to the max. But maybe you’ll feel differently.
