Why Did Gene Simmons Lick Phil Collen?

So KISS recently brought Def Leppard guitarist Phil “Not Phil Collins” Collen out on stage to play “Deuce” with them, in full KISS garb, no less. Which I get. What I don’t get: why Gene Simmons face-rapes Collen during his introduction. Also, why Collen then doesn’t take a moment to wipe Simmons’ diseased spit from his face. It’s not the homosexual nature of the act which creeps me out, because I honestly could not care less about that; it’s the fact that it’s Gene Simmons. I wouldn’t shake that asshole’s hand, let alone let him lick me. Shivers.
