Devin Townsend Project and Animals as Leaders Announce Co-Headline Fall Tour!

0

Devin Townsend / Animals as Leaders 2014 Tour“Devin Townsend Project” and “Animals as Leaders” fit so well together I’m having a hard time believing it’s taken this long for the two acts to tour together. Peas in a pod. Nuts in a sack. Peanut butter and chocolate. You get the idea. So a pat on the back to whoever realized such a pairing had never been made before and put it all together. Prog nerds everywhere just blew a collective load the size of Manhattan all over their keyboards.

The Toontrack-sponsored tour is a true co-headline, with Townsend and Animals as Leaders alternating every other night as show-closers. British progressive metallers Monuments — fronted by ex-Periphery singer Chris Barreto — will open, making for a true progstravaganza.

The press release announcing the tour says that Devin’s DTP / Z2 double-album is coming out in October. Is that news? Maybe I just missed it, but I can’t recall seeing even a vague release date before this. So we’ve got that to look forward to as well!
