Metal Yoga with Locrian’s André Foisy is the Cure for what Ails Your Aching Body

Face it: you’ve got shitty posture. You sit with your shoulders slumped forward at your desk all day or in your car for hours at a time. Your back is weak because of it, and maybe you’ve even got neck pain or tense upper shoulders. All of the above certainly apply to me, especially when I’m stressed.

Locrian guitarist André Foisy is a certified yoga instructor, and in the latest installment of a Metal Yoga series he’s been writing for Decibel he teaches posture-challenged lowlifes like us how to do shoulder shrugs, an exercise that strengthens the middle and upper back muscles and releases tension in the shoulders. Best of all, this exercise can be done pretty much anywhere and only takes a few minutes. Watch and learn.
