The Safety Fire’s Lori Peri Recommends My Project Ghost

0

My Project GhostLori Peri, founding member and bassist of UK progsters The Safety Fire, has a hot tip for you: listen to My Project Ghost, a band whose debut song “Wrap Around Porch” recently hit the Interwaves.

Peri cops to being “good pals” with guitarist Morgan Sinclaire — who used to be the live guitarist for Architects — but tells us he feels compelled to share this track with us, despite the fact he knows plenty of dudes in plenty of bands, because of how “fantastic” My Project Ghost are and how “brilliant” the video is. So let’s take it for a spin then, shall we?

My Project Ghost have got a post-hardcore kinda thing going on, with distorted, jangly guitars and distinctly hardcore yelp-style vocals, but there’s more to it as well, for example the double-bass in the song’s mid-section. It’s a good tune. I dig it! And Peri’s correct; the video is certainly entertaining.

So check it below and tell us what you think. For what it’s worth, the last time a member of a prominent metal band emailed MetalSucks with a recommendation of his pals’ band, he kickstarted a chain of events that resulted in the worldwide ascent of Twelve Foot Ninja. Just sayin’.
