Here are the Dates for Whitechapel’s Fall 2014 Headline Tour
Fresh off their killer early-summer tour with DevilDriver, Revocation, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil and Fit For An Autopsy, Whitechapel will be heading out on a significantly less cool tour this fall with support coming from the publicity-stunt-band-whose-name-shall-not-be-mentioned and Glass Cloud.
Look, it’s cool, I get it: if you’re Whitechapel you gotta play both cards, do one tour with good, credible death metal bands (plus Carnifex) and one tour with, for lack of a better term, “scene” bands. I may not be a fan of those bands, but I’m a fan of good marketing and knowing your audience. And on the plus side, any Whitechapel fans who aren’t into the openers can go out for a nice dinner before the show and not feel rushed — maybe something really romantic with all your best metal buds, like some light Italian fare, maybe with a good bottle of rosé so you don’t feel too stuffed — then arrive just in time for Whitechapel! Whitechapel’s thick, meaty grooves compliment ravioli and wine perfectly, I promise. No need to stand around a cramped, sweaty venue with no re-entry after the killer opening band finishes, waiting for the headliner to go on and drinking way too much overpriced beer.
