Celebrate the MLB Postseason with the New Puig Destroyer Album Stream

0

Puig Destroyer - self-titledThe end of regular season MLB play has been super-fun, with races in both the AL and NL Central coming down to the final day. Congrats are in order for the fans in Pittsburgh and Kansas City who have waited FOREVER for this (Pittsburgh’s 2013 quick postseason dalliance notwithstanding); I’m rooting for both teams to take their respective one-game wild card playoffs tonight and tomorrow. Even for my sad-sack Mets the season was not without upside: they finished strong, good enough for second place (even if still below .500), and with big improvement years from a crop of talent young players including RoY candidate Jacob deGrom, Travis d’Arnaud, Lucas Duda, Jerurys Familia and Juan Lagares. There is hope!

Dodgers fans, of course, don’t need to worry about such things, handily edging out the Giants in the NL West. They’ll face St. Louis in a battle of teams with stout pitching staffs, and it should be a fun series.

Wouldn’t it be kinda neat if Yasiel Puig walked up to the plate JUST ONCE to a Puig Destroyer song? Not gonna happen, although Puig did hear the band last year and called them “very good” (footage below).

Ruminate on all things postseason and BASEBALL because it’s the best thing ever as you listen to Puig Destroyer’s most excellent new album, out today, and available for order here.
