Update, 10/7/14: Noah actually sent us TWO images — the admat originally included in this post, and this Last.fm screencap, which does include Motograter. I completely missed the second image when I first reviewed Noah’s e-mail. My sincerest apologies.

Dreams really can come true!

Despite the colossal failure of their crowdfunding campaign to raise $800 (they ended up with $217) so they could play a battle of the bands, the winners of which would get to “to perform [at] the legendary, Knotfest!”, Motograter will, indeed, play that festival at the end of this month. It’s not presently clear if they won the aforementioned battle of the bands or if they somehow ended up just getting on the festival bill. But what is clear is that drummer Noah “Shark” Robinson is VERY excited about the band’s appearance at the fest. Over the weekend, he e-mailed MetalSucks the below graphic for Knotfest, which makes no mention of Motograter anywhere (I guess we can assume they’re one of the “many more”)…

Knotfest 2014

…as well as this grammatically-experimental comment:

“It’s official. Motograter is playing Knotfest. Fans are already beginning to speculate as to whether or not Ivan Moody will acknowledge the band in any way. Everyone is asking if he would ever be willing to do a couple songs with us on stage?! We love the guy and there is no bad blood on our side of the table… We are proud of everything he has accomplished! Can’t wait to play this show!”

Mazel tov to Motograter. We’re sure this is the beginning of a well-deserved comeback.

In related news, Noah “Shark” Robinson is not the new drummer for Slipknot. Hm.
