Djent Won’t Djie: Periphery, The Contortionist Live Stream Today
In the previous post on MetalSucks, you read that our bros at Noisey have painted a scarlet letter on that band Periphery. To paraphrase: It’s this band’s fault that djent metal is proliferate and that it sucks. No matter the degree to which you agree with that, you may like Periphery jams in a boots-on-the-ground way. Like, you may not agree with the concept of junk food, but concepts don’t matter once you’ve got a mouthful of delicious potato chips. Like Periphery, those chips depend on loads of salt and spice, and may not sustain you for long. But big whoop.
So why not strike back at logic’s tyranny and thumb your nose at the futility of prohibition by heading over to Periphery’s live stream at 4 pm (ET)? It’s hosted by the makers of Grand Theft Auto V, to which a member of Periphery contributed, and also features The Contortionist, another djent offender. Check it out (here) then finalize your plans to hang with Periphery tomorrow at the MetalSucks/Metal Injection/Vertebrae 33 booth at New York Comic Con!
