Fear Emptiness Decibel

Fear, Emptiness, Decibel: Decibel Takes Manhattan (and Brooklyn) This Saturday

dB_10_poster_webBefore there were blogs there were these things called magazines, and the only metal magazine we still get excited about reading every month is Decibel. Here’s managing editor Andrew Bonazelli…

We just got the December Decibel back from the printer this morning, which concludes our yearlong celebration of, uh, us! You’ve seen the logo stamped on every cover: “Celebrating 10 Fucking Years in 2014.” And as you already know, all of this culminates in our Decibel Takes Manhattan (and Brooklyn) shows this Saturday: Amon Amarth, Sabaton and Vallenfyre take the axe to Best Buy Theater in Times Square at 8 p.m., then Skeletonwitch, Black Anvil and Evoken rep the underground at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn at 10 p.m. Hopefully you heeded our subliminal advertorial messages the last couple times we talked up these gigs, ’cause the Vitus show is sold out and there are extremely limited tickets available for Amon Amarth and crew.

If you make both shows, you’ll be in for good, weird, drunken, goat-throwing times. The great Richard Christy will announce the 2015 Decibel Tour lineup at Best Buy Theater—hopefully he’ll keep his pants on! We’ll have new shirts and posters for the occasion. At least one member of a band from the Best Buy show will be collaborating with a band at the Vitus show. Albert will be running around a lot making everything run smoothly while I stand outside smoking and complaining about Lucas Duda’s lefty/righty splits. Hope to see you there for our much more satisfying “subway series.”

Get tickets to the Amon Amarth show while you still can!
