Abysmal Dawn - Obsolescence

Surely one of the year’s finest death metal offerings, Obsolescence, the fourth studio album from Abysmal Dawn, comes out one week from today on Relapse — but you can hear the entire record right now, right here, exclusively at MetalSucks. You are SO welcome!

There’s a reason Abysmal Dawn guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott was one of the select few musicians given the prestigious honor of filling in for the late Chuck Schuldiner on the first Death to All tour: Abysmal Dawn have as strong a claim to the Death-less throne as any other band in the genre today. And Obsolescence might be the band’s finest work to date, a perfect blend of technical prowess, memorable songwriting, and sheer fucking savagery. If you don’t like Obsolescence, you don’t like death metal.

Stream Obsolescence below. Like we said, it comes out October 28 on Relapse. You can pre-order physical copies here, or digital editions via iTunes or Bandcamp. You can also keep up with the band via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
