Cowards Rise To Infamy

It was only September that we encountered Cowards and their awesome debut album Shooting Blanks & Pills. But unlike SB&P — a stateside release of a 2012 albums — the band’s sophomore album Rise To Infamy won’t take years to reach us from their native Paris; it arrives in February already. Like SB&P, it will play like the soundtrack to a jetliner stuffed with burn victims plummeting into an ocean of bent nails. That’s what we’ll expect thanks to “Birth Of My Sadistic Son” (below), the second of two new jams, which will jump right into the rotation of any lover of Minús-style white noise, Whitechapel-esque drone, and the dumbbell-dropped-on-foot bawls of Nails-core. From a distance, too, Cowards might vibe you like if Chaos A.D.-era Caveleras joined Glassjaw. And for sure, you too will be compelled to say their band’s name as its screamed in Fear Factory’s “Hi-Tech Hate”: COW-WARRRRRDS! lol Anyway, u jam!

Cowards’ Rise To Infamy is out in February 9 via Throatruiner and Deadlight.
