Listen to the First New Ion Dissonance Song Since 2010

Ion Dissonance - Ill WillTogether with The Red Chord and Despised Icon, Ion Dissonance form a sort of “Big Three” of OG deathcore. Believe it or not the idea of combining death metal and hardcore was once novel and exciting, before it morphed into a whole shitty scene and became a race to see who could out-breakdown who.

So: it’s great news to hear that Ion Dissonance are back with a demo for a new song called “Ill Will.” Based on a short blurb the band posted on Facebook a little while ago, it seems as if a new album is basically in the can, which is welcome news because they’ve been working on it since at least 2012:

The wait is finally over… We would like to thank you all for your patience and support. Nevertheless, here is Ion Dissonance’s way of saying thank you.

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Dominic Grimard from ‘The Last Felony’ into the Ion Dissonance family. For those who know us well, you know that we have a nasty habit of recycling up guitarists to play bass for us. Dominic is no exception to this rule. The guy shreds, and we are happy to have him helping us out with Bass duties. For those of you wondering, Yanic is still involved with the band and helping with the recording process. Unfortunate health issues have forced him to step aside for now. We wish him all the best and a prompt recovery.

So without further delay, here is the first installment of our upcoming release. If you want to purchase the song, we have included the bandcamp link within the Youtube video.

The Montreal and Toronto shows are on for this upcoming weekend. See you all there.

Take care.
Ion Dissonance.

Time to get excitebike! 2010’s Cursed was an absolute ripper, and there’s no reason whatever they’re cooking up now won’t be as well.

Stream the new track below or buy it on Bandcamp for just one buck.
