Septicflesh Titan promotional photoYou can’t accuse drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner of sitting on his ass since leaving Decapitated two years ago. He’s release not one but two solo albums, tried to join Slipknot, and launched a new project with equally-busy guitarist Ola Englund (The Haunted, ex-Six Feet Under, etc.). And as if all of that wasn’t enough, Metal Underground reports that Krimh has now joined Septicflesh, taking the place of Fotis Bernardo. Says Krimh:

“I feel very honored to join such a great band which has been one of my favorites since years. Septicflesh’s music is outstanding and unique. It is melodic and heavy but with groove. Exactly how I like it! I can’t wait to start a new chapter with SF and see you on the road.”

This is good news from Septicflesh fans and Krimh fans — both are great tastes which I’m confident will go great together. Given that SF just released their latest album, Titan, this past summer, we probably won’t get to hear Krimh record with the band for some time. But hopefully we can look forward to seeing him live soon…
