Babymetal + Dragonforce Sounds Like Babymetal (or Dragonforce)

Given that both groups’ music sounds as though it was written with the assistance of massive amounts of Jolt Cola and cocaine, it’s not entirely surprising that “Road to Resistance,” the new collaboration between Babymetal and Dragonforce, sounds like it could just be another song from either band’s catalogue. Case in point: the incredibly long “teaser video” below, which as far as I can tell actually features the entire song, was filmed during Babymetal’s NYC concert at Hammerstein Ballroom last year. We were there, and I honestly had no idea Dragonforce had anything to do with the song — it blends seamlessly with the rest of Babymetal’s material.

Now if they could get Jeff Walker or Chino Moreno to write something for them, THAT might be really weird/different/cool…
