More Myrone Goodness, Plus a Drift Stage Video Game Preview

0

Drift StageDrift Stage, a video game currently in development that bills itself as “a modern take on the classic arcade racer,” is finally gonna come out sooner rather than later. #Softshred pioneer Myrone, whose music I’ve been raving about for months, just alerted me to a Kickstarter campaign to get the game through the finish line. Within four days of launch the campaign has already surpassed its goal of $30k, so yeah, I’d say this thing is gonna happen. Stoked!

In the meantime let’s all jam this hot-as-fuqq new Myrone track “Applied Dynamics,” which might could appear in the game’s soundtrack. It brings me back to a time when life was simple and easy, when you could have a friend over for a sleepover, have mom bring you some grilled cheese for dinner, then play Rad Racer all night until your parents went to bed so you could turn on Channel 35 and watch re-runs of Robin Byrd. Once you’re done jamming that track and reminiscing, watch a real-live demo of the game below that — so awesome to see vintage-style graphics in a smoother, more modern resolution.
