Mastodon and Clutch Announce North American Tour with Graveyard and Big Business
The never-ending parade of 2015 tour announcements continues: Mastodon and Clutch will hit the road together in April and May for an extensive tour of the U.S. and Canada they’re dubbing “The Missing Link Tour.” Huzzah!
Earlier this week we spoke with Clutch drummer Jean Paul Gaster on the latest episode of The MetalSucks Podcast, and he made no mention of these tour plans — that sly bastard! He did talk about how things are coming along on Clutch’s newest album — including some funny song titles — and all about the band’s approach to touring and running their own label, so any Clutch fans should definitely listen in. Dates for the trek are posted below; Graveyard and Big Business will round out the lineup. Mastodon have done a lot of U.S. touring recently so I don’t feel a burning desire to go see them again just yet, although I certainly wouldn’t complain if I happened to end up at one of these shows — “I really regret going to that Mastodon show” is something said by no one ever. As for Clutch… wait a minute, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Clutch live. How is that possible??? I own several of their albums and I’ve always dug the band, I just… have no excuse whatsoever and I suck.
