Bandcamp logoCalling all metal labels: you are now pretty much out of excuses not to be on Bandcamp! In the past, labels have had to sign up for individual artist accounts, which I’m sure was very time-consuming and irritating in terms of set-up, maintenance, and accounting. But no more! Now the net’s current best download and streaming platform has a service specifically for record labels. According to Bandcamp itself…

“A Bandcamp label account gives you unified accounting and stats across all your artists, a single fulfillment interface for all your merch, the ability to direct payments on a per release basis, Pro-level status for all your artists, and a whole lot more.”

It’s also crazy cheap: $20 per month allows labels to have up to fifteen artists on their account, while $50 per month allows them have unlimited artists on their account. For a label of, say, Century Media’s stature, in the grand scheme of things, $600/year to have all of their releases on this incredible service is bupkis. And I would imagine even smaller underground or bedroom labels can scrap together $240/year to have their stuff on there, too.

Label peeps: get more info and sign-up here. No, MetalSucks does not get a cut, we just legitimately think Bandcamp is swell!
