Torche are “Loose Men”

Does Torche’s music make anyone else wish they readily had access to a hula hoop? I can think of no better adjective to describe this band than “boppy” (which I recognize is not a real word). Perhaps more than any other jam they’ve released in the past, their latest, “Loose Men,” conjures images of an alternate universe in which teenage girls still wear poodle skirts, getting offered a dude’s pin is, like, the biggest deal ever, and sock hops are the dominant form of adolescent celebration. And I mean all of that as a compliment! I find it very difficult to be grumpy when listening to Torche. I also find it very difficult not to tap my foot. It’s good stuff!
