Marduk Announces New Album with Nicki Minaj, Backschwein (NSFW)

With their latest album, Frontschwein, currently burning up the charts, Swedish black metal titans Marduk have now announced their next release: Backschwein, a companion album to Frontschwein which will include American rapper/singer/songwriter Nicki Minaj.

Guitarist Morgan “Evil” Håkansson had this to say about the collaboration:

“Black metal is more than just a type of music — it’s dedication and a will to go on a different path when compared to what a lot of other bands have done. Satanic beliefs and a dedication to that cause. That’s what makes you ‘black metal.’ And that certainly describes Nicki.”

Minaj added:

“Quack quack to a duck and a chicken, too.”

Marduk and Nicki Minaj’s Backschwein will be released later this year on Century Media. The first single, a cover of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back,” will impact radio on February 29.
