Video: Machine Head F*ck Tenacious D Gently

Tenacious D have more Grammys for Best Metal Performance than Machine Head does. That right there has to be a sign of what total fucking bullshit the Grammys are, the same way the fact that Kevin Costner has won a Best Director Oscar but Stanley Kubrick never did demonstrates the bullshitiness of the Academy Awards.

At least the Machine Homies have a sense of humor about it, though: to celebrate Valentine’s Day (and, I’m guessing, make light of the acoustic duo’s recent Grammy win), they covered Tenacious D’s “Fuck Her Gently” during the show this past Saturday evening in Saint Louis, MO. This seems weird to me only because Machine Head have no shortage of their own romantic material, like their Grammy-nominated “Aesthetics of Hate.” Wait… do you think the fact that that song is my go-to soundtrack for sex is the reason I’m still single?
