Contest: Win a Copy of Whiplash on Blu-ray!

As I mentioned earlier this week: Whiplash was far and away my favorite movie of 2014. The film, which chronicles the relationship between a young jazz drummer and his abusive instructor, asks “What does it take to be one of the greats… and are those sacrifices really worth it?”Anchored by astounding work from writer/director Damien Chazelle (who is nominated for a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar) and stars Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons (who is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar), Whiplash is must-see for anyone with eyes, and a double must-see for any musician, even if jazz isn’t your genre of choice.

To celebrate the release of Whiplash on Blu-ray and DVD this coming Tuesday, February 24 (pre-order it here), MetalSucks is giving away one copy of the film on Blu-ray! In addition to the film, the disc includes some really cool bonus features, such as commentary track with Chazelle and Simmons,  a Toronto International Film Festival Q&A with Chazelle, Simmons, and Teller, Miles Chazelle’s original short film on which the movie was based with optional commentary, a deleted scene with optional commentary, and a 42-minute documentary in which famous drummers discuss their craft. Sweet, right?
