Sólstafir and Ancient VVisdom Team Up For Mellowest Metal Tour of the Year

Iceland’s Sólstafir have been hell-bent on touring the U.S. over the past year: they did a brief East Coast run with Junius last year leading into Maryland Deathfest, then hit most of the western states in December opening for Pallbearer. This is all fantastic news, because more Americans need more opportunities to see this fantastic band. Myself included.

Hooray for all of us, then, because Sólstafir will be bringing their special brand of hypnotizing shoe-gaze metal to this side of the Atlantic once again, with a tour that lasts over a month and hits vast expanses of the U.S. and Canada. Ancient VVisdom will support, which is a great match IMO: the band’s mellowed out, acoustic doom(ish) metal vibes should mesh extremely well with Sólstafir, and it’s been too long since we’ve heard anything from those dudes.
