Download the Game of Thrones Mixtape Featuring Anthrax, Mastodon, and Killswitch Engage for Free!

Here’s your TGIF gift, friends: the official Game of Thrones tie-in mixtape, Catch the Throne, Vol. II, has been released for free download on iTunes. It includes new songs by Anthrax, Mastodon, and Killswitch Engage.

Mastodon already released their track, the haunting “White Walker,” earlier this week; you’ll be happy to know that Anthrax and KSE’s contributions are just as strong. Killswitch’s song, “Loyalty,” is powered by an insanely heavy riff — arguably heavier than anything that was on Disarm the Descent — while Anthrax’s “Soror Irrumator” is a great mix of the band’s classic, pure-thrash-era material and their more recent, more traditionally-rock-driven material.

Mushroomhead also have a song on the mix, but I haven’t listened to that one yet because Mushroomhead.
